Recently, when the Management and Protection Bureau of Yunnan Puzhehei Provincial Nature Reserve conducted bird monitoring in autumn and winter on the No. 3 bird monitoring sample line of Puzhehei Karst National Wetland Park, it was found that a green feather was wearing blue feathers. An unknown bird with a long tail and a wide mouth was confirmed to be a national second-level key protected animal, the long-tailed broadbill.

The long-tailed broadbill is a bird of the passerine broadbill family. Its body length is about 25cm. It is commonly known as the green broadbill. It is distributed in the foothills of the Himalayas, southern China, Southeast Asia, Sumatra and Borneo. It is a national second-level key protected animal in China.

The long-tailed broad-billed bird monitored this time is the first discovery in Puzhehei Karst National Wetland Park. In recent years, through the implementation of pollution control and wetland restoration measures, the ecological environment of Puzhehei wetland has continued to improve, and wetland protection and biodiversity restoration have achieved remarkable results, creating a good environment for wildlife habitat and breeding.
